The Paderborn-based marketing agency TMC (the abbreviation stands for “The Marketing Company”) exits for 20 years now. The international expression was chosen at the foundation, and the international shape has proven to be far-sighted. In twenty years of agency history, TMC worked for customters such as Siemens, Fujitsu, Wincor Nixdorf, SAP and ALSO, subsidiaries of these companies and other clients in Europe, USA and Asia.
In addition to the IT industry, the Hoppenhof-based “honoree” has now developed an extended range of customers, from international conglomerates to numerous smaller regional companies. Another big step into new customer areas has just been made in Berlin. The German IT Planning Council (a federal board responsible for the coordination of IT use at federal, state and municipal level) authorized the Paderborn agency with the development of a comprehensive communications concept to improve brand awareness and image.
More than 10 full-time employees work together with a large nationwide network of “solid freelancers” whose special expertise will be integrated into customer projects. Together they develop marketing concepts, make product and corporate brochures, accompany clients in the Internet and social media worlds and organize business events as well as trade fairs. TMC especially campaigns for trainings. Continuous apprenticeship training positiosn are offered and filled. Currently the agency is training junior staff as event and marketing managers.
We did many exciting projects in the past 2 decades. One of probably the biggest highlights was to shoot a notebook into space. “One of our customers wanted to demonstrate the flexibility and mobility of their notebook in an extraordinary way,” managing director Mirco Welsing explains. What started as a slightly potty idea, originated the classical “shower in the morning” situation, finally ended with a notebook @ Space – transported by a Russian Sojus rocket directly into the Mir space station.
