As part of the event “Fit for the Landesgartenschau Bad Lippspringe 2017“ organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Eastern Westphalia, hotel and restaurant operators received valuable information on how to prepare themselves for this major event – a seven-month State Horticultural Show.

Bad Lippspringe’s mayor Andreas Bee welcomed around 40 participants and talked about the pleasure of anticipating the show. Horticultural show expert Heinrich Sperling from Landesgartenschau Bad Lippspringe 2017 GmbH offered attendees insights into the current state of planning for the event, and encouraged guests to begin early to plan for it themselves. In his presentation “Don’t throw your money out the window,” TMC’s managing director Mirco Welsing spoke very concretely about how hotels and restaurants can tailor their marketing to the show and prepare for it in particular with online and social media. Finally, in his presentation “That little extra”, consultant Jörg Schwichtenberg, who is certified by the German Hotel and Restaurant Association (DEHOGA), offered guests concrete tips and tricks for improving service.
